I asked this question to someone else, but he is refusing to answer properly for the time being, no doubt in part due to my having made some errors borne out of needless haste. I have sent him a simpler version of the question; in the meantime (with corrections), C Cmaj7 Cmaj7/F Bbadd9/F Dmin9 Dmin6 Bb/D Gmin9 C13 C11 Dbadd9 Db7add#4 __? What are my best options?

it's subjective and depends on a lot of factors, mostly surrounding on what do you want to FEEL. i'm not well versed in chord notation, but after trying to translate i think that Db7add#4 is a mistake because of the high notes. it totally cornered you here, or at least i would've tackled it differently. if i am only allowed to add one chord onto what you have it would be whatever "B,E,G,D#,G#" maps to. i apoligize if the incoming chords are translated incorrectly.

my style normally tries to travel the whole universe on chords, where yours is sort of keeping everything somewhat close together. i guess that's ok and natural. styles are different. i tried to convert my current song project it into chord notation but couldn't figure it out but if i was to explain that song it would be "A3,D,F#; B,D,F#->G#,B,D,E; G#,A,C#,E; B,D,F,G; G,C,E, D3,F,B; G,B,E; G,C#->F#,A,D".
