what would you say to a high-school senior entering college application season

it's not as deep as you think unless you're going for one of those crazy places which you probably shouldn't be going to unless you're getting free money.

also enjoy your last year of high school because your life is about to become irreversibly less chill but it'll also be lovely. but you'll miss it. does that make sense? there is also a second wave of this hits after you're out of college where life just becomes real for real this time. i'm still trying to get a handle on that.

it's funny because i've never really put effort consciously preparing for college admissions but i have good academics/test scores...but also a noticeable lack of clubs/extracurriculars
so now i've had a sudden realization that (for competitive institutions) my application's a little weak :sob:

you'll be fine since it appears you spent your time studying and actually knowing things. clubs are cool but it's not a requirement i think.

enough about me...wdyt about the whole process/rat-race

not worth anyone's time. you deserve to be learning and building your actual portfolio of knowledge. i didn't go to a particularly interesting college nor did i stay in that school for a long time. and while i'm sure that history affects this opinion, i still hold it: your high school status and grades do not matter at all once you are in college, and college does not matter at all once you enter the industry.
